Faulkner Hospital Announces Stroke Support Group

There are currently more than 6 million people in the United States that have survived a stroke. To help meet this growing population of individuals, Faulkner Hospital has formed a Stroke Support Group.

"As stroke survivors, these individuals have unique stories, needs and interests, many of which surface far after they’ve been discharged from the hospital" says Kennis Bishop, MS, CCC-SLP, Speech-Language Pathologist, who will help lead the Stroke Support Group. "By meeting with other stroke survivors and caregivers, we hope to help people understand that they are not alone in this process."

Faulkner Hospital's Stroke Support Group will be on summer recess from June-September 2010. Please contact Kennis Furuya Bishop, MS/CCC-SLP at (617) 983-4498 for more information, or to register for upcoming events.
