With more than 1,000 robotic prostatectomies in his career, he is considered one of the most well known surgeons to utilize the da Vinci robot. He is the only surgeon in New England, and one of the few in the United States whose fellowship trained exclusively in robotic surgery. He completed his fellowship at one of the highest volume robotic prostatectomy center in the world and has also received several institutional, foundation, and federal research awards and grants for his prostate cancer research.
