Inpatient Physical Therapy at Faulkner Hospital

We specialize in caring for the acute needs of patients in the hospital. Physical therapy participates in the care of patients in all patient areas: emergency department, pre admission testing, day surgery, surgical inpatient units, and medical inpatient units, ICU, addiction recovery and psychiatry.

Physical Therapy is a consult service that requires a referral from your doctor. If you are admitted to the hospital and wish to see a Physical Therapist, please consult with your doctor. Your doctor can discuss with you the appropriate time to participate with PT and consult PT accordingly.

As a patient referred to the Physical Therapy service, you will receive an individual evaluation and treatment plan tailored to your needs. Should you require an assistive device while you are here, we are happy to provide crutches, canes, walkers and basic wheelchairs. If you have special mobility equipment (i.e. custom wheelchair or walker) that you wish to bring from home, please label your equipment with your name and address before bringing it to the hospital.

Physical Therapy is available every day, including weekends and holidays.

Some patients who work with us have had:

Total Knee replacement

Total Hip Replacement
Ankle and foot surgeries
General surgery

Heart attack

Stroke

Deconditioning
Pneumonia
