The psychiatric and substance
abuse consultation and outpatient psychiatry programs at Brigham and
Women's Hospital were integrated with the inpatient, partial psychiatric
and addiction services at Faulkner Hospital. Brigham and Women's/Faulkner
Psychiatry provides mental health and substance abuse services at
each hospital and at two community-based health centers. |

The Department of Psychiatry
is a major teaching site for the training of Harvard Longwood psychiatry
residents, graduate-level psychology and social work interns, and
occupational therapy and nursing students. |

The BWF Department
of Psychiatry is chaired by Jonathan F. Borus, MD, Professor of Psychiatry
at the Harvard Medical School. Since the Department of Psychiatry
at the two hospitals joined in January 2001, Dr. Borus has integrated
the psychiatric and substance abuse consultation and outpatient psychiatry
programs at Brigham and Women's Hospital with the inpatient, partial
psychiatric and addiction services at Faulkner Hospital. The BWF Department
of Psychiatry provides mental health and substance abuse services
at each hospital and at two community-based health centers.
