Services for Inpatients

At Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, inpatients have access to a variety of services during their stay, including:

  • Case Management by registered nurses who assist in planning for continued care after discharge, including services like home care and equipment, transfers for nursing home care, rehabilitative care, outpatient medical treatment and more.
  • Domestic Violence counseling and support through our Passageway program including crisis intervention, risk assessment and safety planning, legal advocacy and community referrals.
  • Interpreter and Translation Services to help limited English speaking, deaf and hard of hearing patients get quality health care.
  • Patient and Family Relations, which serves as a connection between patients, families, visitors and the hospital to provide a wide range of services and to coordinate any special needs that you or your family may have.
  • Social Workers to help you and your family members with personal matters such as emotional support and assistance with communication between patients, families and health care providers, counseling around chronic illness, a new diagnosis, or medical decision making needs during your hospitalization and referral information.
  • Spiritual Care Services to provide you and your family with spiritual, religious and emotional support, regardless of your religious affiliation.
