The
Faulkner Hospital Department of Marketing and Public Affairs has established
these guidelines to be followed by reporters requesting interviews
or information.
To ensure a productive visit,
all members of the media must pre-arrange their meeting at the hospital
in advance with a member of the Marketing and Public Affairs Department.
It is necessary for a member of the Marketing
and Public Affairs staff to accompany the media, film crews and photographers
at all times while they are on hospital grounds in order to ensure
the privacy and confidentiality of our patients and their families.
Patients who allow themselves to be interviewed
or filmed on the hospital campus must fill out a release form to be
kept on file in the Marketing and Public Affairs Department.
The media must identify patients by name
in order for the hospital to release condition information. No patient
information other than a one-word condition description as defined
by the American Hospital Association will be made available.
To
ensure a productive visit, members of the media must pre-arrange their
meeting at Faulkner Hospital and will be provided with validated parking.
Hospital Security may remove unauthorized vehicles.
Media will be met by a member of the Marketing
and Public Affairs staff in the lobby at the back of the hospital,
adjacent to the parking garage. They will then be escorted to the
appropriate location in the hospital and will be accompanied by
a Marketing and Public Affairs staff member throughout their visit.
The Faulkner Hospital Department of Marketing
and Public Affairs is located in the main building of Faulkner Hospital,
