Anyone who wishes to volunteer here at Faulkner Hospital must meet the following requirements before being considered.

  • Be at least 18 years of age to enter the program.
  • Commit to volunteering four hours a week for at least three months.
  • Submit documentation of the MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) vaccine and recent TB (Tuberculosis) test results (done within the past 90 days).

If you have not fulfilled these medical requirements, the Volunteer Department can schedule an appointment for you with our Occupational Health Office during your
follow-up interview.

*Please note: The deadline for students to apply for summer opportunities is now closed.

Please check back in the fall for more information.

Requirements

Process

Getting started as a new volunteer is a step by step process designed to ensure that all volunteers are oriented to hospital and Volunteer Department policies.

Once all of the documents are received, you will proceed with your placement orientation or shadow shift depending on your placement.

Volunteer Training

Once placed and cleared, you must go to orientation. You have your choice to attend in two different ways: 2-Day Orientation, which is generally held the first Monday and Tuesday of every month, from 8 am-4 pm or 1-Evening Orientation 4-10 pm.
