 It
is terrific to be addressing you as the new Director of Philanthropy
for Faulkner Hospital. I joined the development team on September
20th and am very excited to be part of such a well-respected
and successful organization with such dedication to excellence
by staff and volunteers. Many thanks to David Trull for giving
me this opportunity.
Over the course of the next few months, I will
be working hard to meet as many of Faulkners supporters
as I can. In the meantime, I thought I would introduce myself
to you.
I come to Faulkner with over 15 years of development
experience, starting with political fundraising in New Jersey
and Washington, D.C. My recent positions include fundraising
for the United Way here in Boston, and alumnae relations and
development for Dana Hall School in Wellesley.
For the past five years, I worked at Development
Guild/DDI in Brookline as an executive search and fundraising
consultant. While at Development Guild/DDI, I had the opportunity
to work with many of the top healthcare institutions in the
area, including Brigham & Womens Hospital. I am
looking forward to partnering with the development team at
BWH to help advance the development program at Faulkner Hospital.
Nancy Simpson-Banker has left a wonderful legacy
here at Faulkner Hospital. I know that I have very big shoes
to fill, and am very grateful to Nancy for leaving such a
successful program on which to build. Congratulations must
go to Melissa Lutynski and Debra Ellison for keeping things
going so well for the past year, too.
I look forward to working with David,
the Board and everyone at Faulkner to advance the development
program further, and to giving our supporters continued opportunity
to help ensure that Faulkner Hospital maintains its reputation
as one of the regions leading academic medical centers.
