Free Health Screenings at Faulkner
Committed to Building Healthier Communities Faulkner Hospital offers free health screenings on a variety of health issues throughout the year including: alcohol, cervical, breast, colorectal and skin cancers; vision; cardiovascular health; liver disease and others. Mental Health Screening
Faulkner Hospital offers a free, on-line screening tool for alcohol disorders and four mental health disorders: depression, bipolar, anxiety and post traumatic stress. This self administered screening test is available year round, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Based on your responses to a series of questions, you will receive a customized referral to direct you for further consultation. This screening tool does not replace an evaluation by a licensed mental health professional.

Flu Vaccine Clinics
Influenza is a serious disease that can cause fever, cough, headache, chills, sore throat, muscle aches, and among the elderly, may even cause death. Call the day prior to attending a clinic to ensure it is available. All vaccines are free of charge and no appointments are required. Vaccines will be given on a first come, first serve basis and dates are subject to change based on availability. The next Flu Vaccine Clinic will be held in the fall of 2007. Please call

Free Mammography Access Campaign
The screenings provide women with a free low-dose breast x-ray with the capability of detecting breast cancer in its earliest, most curable stage. The x-rays are taken at the renowned Faulkner-Sagoff Breast Imaging and Diagnostic Centre at Faulkner Hospital. Faulkner Hospital offers free mammograms to qualified women. Heart Health Screening
 
This cardiovascular awareness and screening program addresses critical issues with education and screening tests for cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar. Faulkner Hospital offers free screening programs to the public.

Skin Cancer Screening
 
The best defense against skin cancer is a good offense, and early detection is our best weapon in the fight against skin cancer. When treated early enough, most skin cancers can be successfully treated and often cured. Faulkner Hospital offers free skin cancer screenings.
The next Skin Cancer Screening will be held at Faulkner Hospital in the spring of 2007. Appointments are required. Please call (617) 983-7451 to schedule an appointment or for more information.
Cervical Cancer Screening
 
Cancer of the cervix is one of the most preventable forms of cancer and is easily detected by a Pap smear test.
