ORAL, HEAD & NECK CANCER SCREENING
40,000 Americans will develop Oral, Head & Neck Cancer this year. Early detection can save lives.

Risk Factors: Smoking, Chewing tobacco, Consuming alcohol, Prior cancer of the region

Signs and Symptoms: Sore in mouth that doesn’t go away, Sore throat or trouble swallowing, Change in voice, Growth or swelling in neck

Flu Vaccine Clinics
Influenza is a serious disease that can cause fever, cough, headache, chills, sore throat, muscle aches, and among the elderly, may even cause death. Call the day prior to attending a clinic to ensure it is available. All vaccines are free of charge and no appointments are required. Vaccines will be given on a first come, first serve basis and dates are subject to change based on availability. Flu Vaccine Clinic will be held in the fall/winter. Please call

Breast Health Care Access Program
The screenings provide women with a free low-dose breast x-ray with the capability of detecting breast cancer in its earliest, most curable stage. The x-rays are taken at the renowned Faulkner-Sagoff Breast Imaging and Diagnostic Centre at Faulkner Hospital. Faulkner Hospital offers free mammograms to qualified women. Healthy Heart Screening
 
This cardiovascular awareness and screening program addresses critical issues with education and screening tests for cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar. Faulkner Hospital offers free screening programs to the public.

Skin Cancer Screening
 
The best defense against skin cancer is a good offense, and early detection is our best weapon in the fight against skin cancer. When treated early enough, most skin cancers can be successfully treated and often cured. Faulkner Hospital offers free skin cancer screenings.
