Faulkner Hospital's Breast MRI service provides Radiologists and referring physicians with the latest technology to help diagnose potential breast cancers and other breast abnormalities.

The American Cancer Society recommends that people at high risk for breast cancer add a MRI screening in addition to their yearly mammogram. In addition to annual screenings, breast MRI is used for breast cancer pre-operative planning, post-operative follow-up care, and monitoring of cancer therapy.

The Breast MRI suite is conveniently located on the first floor of the Belkin House on the Faulkner Hospital campus. Technologists use state of the art imaging protocols on the Aurora1.5 T Dedicated Breast MRI System. The suite is managed by board certified radiologists who specialize in breast imaging.

This group has strong clinical affiliations with breast surgeons and oncologists at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

The Breast MRI suite is open from 7:30 am - 4 pm Monday - Friday. Evening and Saturday appointments are also available. To schedule a Breast MRI please call 617-983-7272.
