Thursday, October 22, 2009, was a glittering night of fashion in support of breast health care. The InterContinental Boston was transformed with an impressive “T” shaped catwalk where models strutted one-of-a-kind fashions from Boston's hottest up and coming young designers from the School of Fashion Design.
More than 450 guests voted for their favorite alongside celebrity judges, including Gretchen Monahan, a style expert on the “Rachael Ray Show,” and co-host of “Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style,” “Project Runway” alum Emmett McCarthy and Kevin Christiana, jewelry designer and Boston Common Magazine “Hot List” columnist Tonya Chen Mezrich and Boldfacers.com founder Lisa Pierpont. The judge’s winner, Jessica Lee, won a trip to Fashion Week New York with Gretchen Monahan and the opportunity to work beside a New York fashion designer. The fan favorite, Kelly Higgins, will have her designs displayed and sold at GrettaLuxe for the month.
